UC Merced Planning Fair • March 24, 2001

MERCED - If you have been following the news and editorial coverage of the UC Merced project and are confused about some of the conflicting messages that you are hearing, there is an opportunity this Saturday to learn first-hand about the latest developments.

Merced County and the University of California are sponsoring the latest in a series of community Planning Fairs this Saturday, March 24th from 10 am to 2 pm in the Sam Pipes Room at the Merced Civic Center located at 678 West 18th Street.

The Planning Fair will begin promptly at 10 am and will include presentations from the University of California and Merced County regarding UC Merced and University Community planning efforts. Unlike the previous Planning Fairs, this will not be an open house but will have a time specific agenda of events.

As part of the Planning Fair there will also be small group discussions and ample opportunity to provide your comments about the campus and community planning. This is a structured public forum designed to get public input on a wide range of issues surrounding the new UC Merced campus and the campus community. Games and entertainment for all ages will be provided.

For more information, call the UC Merced Development Office at 209-725-3700 or visit our website at www.merceducp.org.
